With everyday life examples

Data Iceberg is a memory-game that is players using a deck of cards (22 cards), up to four individual game boards (one for each player) and a rules- and answer sheet.

The game consists of two parts: The first part is a memory-game where the players must find two cards that have the same image. In the second part of the game, the players will try to categorise and place the pair of cards on the game board under the ‘correct’ data category. In this way, the game is both sociable and fun, while at the same time allowing for group discussions about different types of data.

Data Iceberg Game rules

1) Spread the cards out on the table face down, and look for two identical pictures.

2) If you find two identical pictures, you will be able to read a short story on the card pair. What type of data is created in the story?

3) Categorise the pair on your game board by placing it on the data type you think is correct.

Discuss with your fellow players before checking the solution sheet.
